Simister Lake (Broughton Angling Club)
Simister Lake (Broughton Angling Club)

Description

Simister is one of Broughton Angling Club’s secured, members-only waters, located near Simister/Whitefield and accessed via locked gates. As a stillwater coarse venue it is typically fished for mixed bags, with common approaches including pole and waggler work in closer lines, and feeder or method tactics to intercept carp and other larger fish. Like many club lakes, the fishing can be very swim-dependent—look for features such as marginal shelves, islands or windward banks that can hold feeding fish. Regular, accurate loose feed can help build a response from silvers, while heavier groundbait and pellets are often used when specifically targeting carp. Please ensure you follow club rules regarding parking, gate security and acceptable methods, and practise good fish care throughout your session.
