Marton Hole (Winsford & District AA)

Marton Hole is a Cheshire stillwater controlled by Winsford & District Angling Association. It’s run as a members’ water, so access is via club membership/permits rather than general public tickets. The venue offers straightforward coarse fishing in a managed environment, making it suitable for both short sessions and longer planned trips. A larger pool (around 3.2 acres) where locating fish is key—watch for signs, respond to the wind direction and don’t be afraid to move if the swim is lifeless. Approach the session by plumbing up carefully, choosing a feature to fish to and feeding accurately little and often.
