Elton Reservoir

Elton Reservoir is a large open-water reservoir (approx. 37 acres) in Greater Manchester offering Bury & District Angling Society venue with membership and day-ticket options (night fishing may be members-only). Expect bream, carp, perch, pike, roach depending on season and conditions. As a big windswept water it can be a challenge, rewarding those who can locate fish and adapt—try different areas and depths, and be prepared for conditions. Parking is via a public car park; note shared use with the sailing club and follow any ‘no-fishing’ zones and safety guidance exactly. Please check local rules before you fish (close seasons, bait limits and any night-fishing or net restrictions may apply). Take litter home, respect nearby residents and wildlife, and keep noise down.
