Cisterns

The Cisterns at Anderton (Lift Lane, CW9 6AQ) is a compact stillwater of roughly a third of an acre, with space for around a dozen anglers.
It’s described as a mixed coarse venue with a wide range of species including carp, crucian carp, tench, roach, rudd, perch and gudgeon, plus smaller bream (“skimmers”).
Because the venue is small, quiet presentation matters: keep lines tidy, feed little-and-often, and scale your approach to the response on the day.
Light float work or a short feeder line can both score, especially if you rotate between margins and mid‑water features.
Access and rules can vary depending on control/permits, so confirm current permission to fish, parking arrangements and any method restrictions before travelling.
